Canada Temporary Resident Visa
More than 35 million temporary immigrants come to Canada each year. Individuals entering Canada for tourism, education, or employment may require a Temporary Resident Visa (TRV) from Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) to enter the country as long as they are Canadian citizens or Not permanent residents.
What is Temporary Residency?
An immigration officer in Canada can grant temporary residence to a foreign national, allowing them to enter the country for a limited time.
A foreign national enters Canada temporarily after obtaining temporary resident status. On the other hand, a foreign national is granted a permanent residence permit, which allows them to stay in Canada indefinitely.
For the duration of their temporary stay, foreign nationals granted temporary resident status are required to comply with the terms and conditions set by Canadian immigration authorities. Below are some of the terms and conditions that Canadian immigration officers may impose:

How To Apply For Temporary Residence Visa?
To obtain temporary residence, you must apply to the Canadian government. People who need a temporary resident visa (TRV) to enter Canada apply for temporary residence before traveling there. In addition to applying for temporary residence before arrival, people who do not need a TRV before entry but still want to travel to Canada need an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) before traveling to Canada.
All individuals apply for temporary resident status at a controlled port of entry into Canada, such as an airport, seaport, or land border, regardless of whether they have a TRV or an eTA. Accordingly, individuals who need a TRV or eTA must apply for temporary residence at least twice before entering Canada: once to obtain permission to travel to Canada and again to enter Canada and For permission to stay. It is not certain that you will be admitted to Canada in temporary resident status if you have a TRV or eTA.

Where To Apply For Temporary Residence Visa?
Applications for Temporary Resident Visas (TRVs) are submitted electronically to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) at a Visa Application Center (VAC) outside Canada by courier at an IRCC Case Processing Center office in Canada. Through the Government of Canada website, you can apply electronically for an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) with IRCC.
Upon entry into Canada, applicants for entry to obtain temporary resident status may present themselves in person to a Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) officer. You can apply to extend temporary residency status to an IRCC Case Processing Centre (CPC) inside of Canada online. You can apply for temporary residence in Canada online through the Government of Canada website unless a foreign national fits into one of the exempt categories, which can apply online or by paper courier.

Types of Temporary Resident Visa
Foreign nationals can stay in Canada as temporary residents if an immigration officer permits them. Immigration officers may limit, change, or revoke a temporary resident’s stay.
Visitor Visa
A guest can stay up to 6 months on admission. Visitors can check their passport stamp or "Visitor Record" to ascertain the length of their stay.
Work Visa
A worker is granted a temporary stay for the duration of the job offer, usually at most three years, if his passport remains valid.
Student Visa
A student is usually granted a temporary stay for their program of study, provided that it is for a temporary period not normally exceeding four years before commencing it.
